More on Employee Motivators

No work is particularly easy to do.  Everything has its own share of risks and difficulties, problems and issues.  At this present time, so many people need their jobs so they stay doing it no matter how disgusted they already are.  And they know for sure that if there will be another job for them, they would quit and look for other sources of income.

If your business is within the realms of a very competitive market, you might risk losing your employees if you do not know how to motivate them.  Without a keen strategy, you might lose your workforce which is the most important aspect of your business.

So what can be considered employee motivators?  Is it a high salary or bonus?  Is it the amazing and expensive reward given at the end of each period? Or is it the manners at which employees are being handled by the employer?  The answer to this is IT DEPENDS.

As individuals, people have varying needs and wants.  And so, they have different motivating factors as to why they work.  Nevertheless, they work to get what they need.

Here are some of the things that can act as employee motivators aside from high salaries and rewards:

Personal Fulfillment and Growth

When an employee is able to achieve success in a company, why would he leave?  If a company allows a person to develop and be better using the skills and abilities that he has, he is able to work with minimum pressure.  Trainings, seminars, and other activities that broaden one’s knowledge and skills allow one to grow professionally.

Need of Experience

Some people stay motivated to do their job because a job is what they need.  Before they could proceed and make big names for themselves, they need to start small somewhere.  And so now, even if a job pays less as long as it offers them the learning, they grab it and stay with it for a period of time.

Love of the Job

This might be hard to believe but some people actually do enjoy what they are doing.  Those employed in charity organizations for example feel privileged that their work lets them help others.  Some do not even consider their jobs a job for it is something they enjoy.

Loyalty to the Company

Employees who have been helped by their companies, whose managers gave them respect and dignity try to give back what has been given them.  Some of them believe this is one way of showing their appreciation and gratitude to the company who has made them who they are at present.

Fear of Failure

Some employees work hard because they are afraid they would fail.  One mistake can make everything tumbling down.  If they fail, there are a lot of things in their life that gets destroyed, even their careers! So this makes them motivated to work harder.

here are still a lot of employee motivators that keep employees stimulated.  It really comes from something which fulfils a need or from wanting to prevent something that hinders the achievement of that need.
